How Frank’s Board uses information
The Frank’s Board Early Access service is operated in the United Kingdom. The operator can be contacted through Get help by choosing Privacy/data. This notice explains the service in plain English.
Information you provide
We use family and carer account details, the minimal name information for the person the board is for, calendar information, short messages, optional sender photographs, paired-display details, invitations, support requests and feedback to provide and secure the service.
Why it is used
Information is used to authenticate people, show the correct board, support trusted collaboration, operate paired displays, protect accounts, answer support requests, meet privacy requests and maintain a limited security and operational audit trail.
Information about another person
An account holder may add information about the person whose board they manage. Only add information you are entitled to share and that is appropriate for the board. Frank’s Board does not assume that the recipient has personally given consent.
Sharing and service providers
Frank’s Board uses carefully selected hosting, database, authentication, storage and email delivery providers. Information is shared only as needed to run those services, meet legal obligations or protect people and the platform. It is not sold and is not used for advertising surveillance.
Security and access
Family information is separated by board membership and database access controls. Paired displays use a dedicated revocable credential. Platform administrators normally see operational metadata rather than the wording of messages, calendar events or photographs. Administrators cannot impersonate family users.
Retention
Active-board information is kept while the service is used. A requested board deletion has a seven-day cooling-off period. Completed board deletion removes board content and device credentials. Legal acknowledgement and security audit evidence may be retained for up to six years; support and feedback records for up to two years, unless longer retention is required to resolve a dispute or meet law.
Your choices and rights
Owners can request a machine-readable board export or board deletion from Privacy & Data. You may also ask for access, correction, restriction or other rights that apply under UK data-protection law. Use Get help and choose Privacy/data to contact the operator.
International processing and updates
Some service providers may process information outside the UK under their safeguards. Material updates receive a new document version and require a fresh acknowledgement. This Early Access notice should receive formal UK legal review before broad public launch.
